Have you heard that there are some countries that will pay you to move there? I’ve been moving from one country to another for the past 10 years, and every time, I’m shocked at how quickly moving costs add up! The amount I’ve had to fork out on visas and foreign healthcare over the years…
Is New Zealand actually paying people to move there? I was so intrigued when I saw headlines about New Zealand paying people to move there, so I did a deep dive to find out if this is actually true. I’ve lived in New Zealand before and would happily go back for a lump sum of…
The pros and cons of retiring in Canada, eh? I’m a lifelong Canadian blessed with eight – yes, eight! – retirees for grandparents. Many of us crave more than the standard two-week getaway, dreaming of immersing ourselves in new cultures, languages, and landscapes. Luckily, the dream of extended travel is not only possible;…
This past year, I set off on a six-month journey across the Northern US and lower Canada with my dog, Theo. We covered miles upon miles of stunning scenic routes near the US/Canada border, all by car. There’s nothing quite like the freedom to stop at any roadside attraction that catches your eye and the…
I’m a home-grown Canuck, and I’ve spent a lot of time traveling this country during the winter. Believe it or not, I’ve grown to appreciate a Canadian winter’s unique beauty, but I’m not necessarily one to strap on skis and hit the slopes. My favorite part of winter in Canada is how the natural wonders…
